Attire
Anything vibrant and festive works. Feel free to wear South Indian inspired outfits such as sarees, lehengas, veshtis, or kurtas, but most importantly wear something you feel comfortable celebrating and dancing in.
Photos below are just for inspiration.
Wedding Ceremony
Our wedding ceremony will be a traditional Syro-Malabar Catholic service, filled with faith, symbolism, and meaningful rituals. The Syro-Malabar Church is one of the oldest Christian traditions in the world, with roots in India that trace back nearly 2,000 years to St. Thomas the Apostle.
This ancient Eastern Catholic tradition developed long before many modern Western Catholic practices and has preserved its rich liturgy, symbolism, and customs across centuries. It remains deeply meaningful to our families, and it means so much to share this sacred and joyful moment with you as we begin our marriage.
Attire
This is a formal ceremony. We kindly encourage guests to dress in South Indian formal or Western formal attire, such as elegant saris, dresses, or formal suits. Please wear what feels most comfortable while helping us celebrate this special occasion.
Reception
Join us for an evening inspired by Indian elegance and celebration, with rich jewel tones, warmth, and joyful energy. During cocktail hour, we will begin with a grand entrance welcoming the newly married couple with vibrant drums and music, setting the tone for the night ahead.
Following this we will exchange garlands, gift rosaries, and there will be a Tamil aarti ceremony where the bride and groom’s families welcome Roshini & Akash as a married couple for the first time. As the evening continues, we will move into the reception festivities with toasts, cake cutting, and plenty of dancing as we celebrate together.
Attire
This is a formal evening celebration. Guests are encouraged to wear Indian formal or Western formal attire. For women, saris, lehengas, gowns, or cocktail dresses are all welcome. For men, suits or Indian formal wear are encouraged. Jewel tones and festive formalwear are especially welcome.
